Started this blog as a project during teacher training at Vic uni in Wellington, but now I use this as a reflective journal. I studied to be a Marine Biologist and completed my Bachelor of Education in Mumbai, India before starting off as an assistant teacher in a ICSE school in Mumbai. After two years of teaching, I decided it was time for me to learn something new and enrolled in the teacher training programme at Victoria University in Wellington. Taught for two years in a boarding school in the north island and now currently an IT teacher in Wellington, NZ. Although my knowledge was primarily biology, I have been a self taught IT geek since childhood and love learning new stuff (hardware/software) in computers. Current skills include HTML/CSS, Photoshop, Open source projects, and anything that comes along:)

This website fills a gap in the sharing of online resources by NZ science teachers – well done Pravin. At the recent AGM of Capital City Science Educators (CCSE) the idea of a hub for sharing ideas was raised – this site goes a long way to realising that ambition – thanks for the work behind it.

Thanks Rex. The main intention with my blog is for people with ideas who want to share it and are willing to do so without thinking about making a quick buck out of their wisdom!

The NZ physics group have also been really good at sharing resources, they used Mindspring a wee while ago but don’t know where these went when that went down. My contact was at St Bernards school, Lower Hutt.

The idea of creating a blog on Science and Technology for resources of teachers is awesome. I hope I can send valuable information on other topics.
It’s well done Pravin Sir.
